May 23rd starts a very special week for Harvard graduates. Several graduation ceremonies will be taking place, honoring the classes of 2022, 2021, 2020.
Countway is excited to celebrate our 2020, 2021, and 2022 graduates from Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health!
The glass doors next to the Café and Coop on the 1st floor are now alarmed. For now, if someone enters through these doors, the alarm will go off for 30 seconds...
Located on the second floor within the Russell Reading Room, the Meditation Room is a private, quiet space where patrons can pray, meditate, practice mindfulness, calm sensory overload, reflect, or find a moment of peace.
Countway was busy this week with events, visitors, retreats, and Town Hall meetings run by various other departments. It was nice seeing people back on campus using the library spaces.
A few weeks ago, the fire alarm went off at Countway due to water pump testing on the second floor. This was not a “drill,” and some people needed to evacuate.
This week, Meyers moving contractors began work on site for BML tagging and moving on L2. There are several teams working in the stacks, marking collections owned by the BML with blue tape that will be leaving Countway..
Countway spaces are more than our physical building at 10 Shattuck Street. Our strategic direction over the past 5 years and along with our renovation has been to expand the physicality of Countway to outside spaces.
