Welcome to the online home of the Countway Community Garden!
The garden is currently open and publicly accessible to visitors most days from sunrise until sunset via the gate beneath the bridge at 10 Shattuck Street.
Each spring, Harvard ID holders on the Harvard Longwood Campus can request a raised garden bed to tend for the growing season (April–November). The 2026 garden bed request list is now full, but we are always looking for volunteers. Please email us with any questions!
If you are interested in holding an event in the garden with more than 20 people, please read our Garden Ground Rules thoroughly and then submit an Event Request at least four weeks prior to the event.
