Welcome to the online home of the Countway Community Garden!
The garden is currently open and publicly accessible to visitors most days from sunrise until sunset via the gate beneath the bridge at 10 Shattuck Street.
Please note: we are expecting significant disruption to our garden space in spring 2026 due to new construction scaffolding. The garden space will look a little different throughout the spring, but the garden beds themselves will still be accessible!
Each spring, Harvard ID holders on the Harvard Longwood Campus can request a raised garden bed to tend for the growing season (April–November). The 2026 garden bed request list is now full, but we are always looking for volunteers. Please email us with any questions!
Due to construction impacts in early spring 2026, all garden event requests are currently on hold. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please check back here for updates, and watch the bi-monthly Countway Communiqué newsletter for the latest information.
