Countway Renovations Begin!
All services remain available: plan for longer turn around time.
The long awaited Countway Library renovations began on October 1st. The best way to work with a research and instruction librarian is to schedule a time to meet with us using the Ask Countway form. There is a consultation space on the lower level (L1) of the library to meet with you during renovations. We look forward to continued collaborations as our space transforms.
Research and Instruction Team Strategic Goals
Promote and create evidence-based instruction opportunities based on user communities' feedback
Pursue professional development and continuing education in order to anticipate and grow with the information and library science profession and liaison program fields of study
Integration and embedding into curriculum across the three schools on the Longwood campus
Foster relationships across Harvard Library, other Harvard professional school libraries, and the HMS Affiliated Teaching Hospital Libraries
Collaborate on research across project continuums
The Research and Instruction team is using a liaison model to guide work with the three professional schools on the Longwood campus. The liaison(s) for your school will be your first point of contact for questions about instruction, research, and resources. Research and Instruction (R&I) team liaisons work in collaboration with other departments through HMS, HSDM and Harvard Chan. We are a part of a network of resources designed to get you to the answers and contacts you need.
There is a new collaboration process with our affiliated hospital libraries. For mediated searches, you may be routed to your affiliated hospital library: MGH, BWH, BIDMC, MEE, McLean, & BCH.
