Week 93: Updates-First Week Back from Break

Welcome back and Happy New Year! I hope you all had a relaxing and restful break.

On Monday, January 3rd Countway Library opened with limited seating for student study only and reduced hours for the library and CHOM. Access to the building is for students and postdocs only. Access to physical collections is closed, however book/document delivery is available during this time via grab & go or locker system. Library hours are limited to Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm, and CHOM hours are Tuesday- Thursday, 10am-4pm, by appointment only. LHTs who serve as safety ambassadors have gone back to escorting students to seats and have increased walkthroughs to enforce mask compliance. The Café and COOP are open as usual. Staff are to enter through the tunnels or the Huntington Ave. entrance as the Shattuck St. entrance is closed through January 23rd. We anticipate these protocols to be in place through January 23rd. Please continue to stay updated with our internal Countway communications.

Thank you all for following Harvard testing protocols. Some staff delayed their return to onsite work schedules in order to test prior to coming to campus. This is appreciated and necessary to keep everyone safe. We have begun our January-June remote work approved schedule for all staff. If you cannot meet the onsite schedule agreed upon, please notify your supervisor and work with HR for accommodations. Let MJ know of any changes as she is keeping a master schedule of and will be submitting it to HR for approval or changes.

Please note staff can test as often as they wish, at a minimum of once per week. Also, HMS is now requiring proof of vaccination (including boosters). Please upload your booster information by January 31st.

Pictures reflecting these updates are below. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you for keeping Countway safe.
