Emily and Michelle have asked me to supply the following information regarding our upcoming September 2nd all-staff meeting:
“We look forward to introducing Countway’s revised diversity plan with you all on Thursday, September 2nd, at 2:00 pm. We hope that you have the opportunity to read through the plan in advance of our meeting. If you have any comments or questions, we invite you to use this anonymous feedback form. Any questions and comments received by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 1st, will be addressed during the meeting. We will also have time for open discussion during the presentation.” – Emily & Michelle
The DIBAR Plan is attached. I hope you take the time to review it before our staff meeting. The meeting will be on Zoom and details have been sent. Thanks to Emily and Michelle for incorporating your feedback and proving us with a more robust plan and an opportunity for discussion.
There will be a second DIBAR meeting on Wednesday, September 8th from 2:00-3:00 pm. Shannon Jones and Beverly Murphy will return to Countway to lead staff in a discussion of the first part of the book called The Person You Mean to Be. This session is for non-supervisory staff. Managers/supervisors will attend a separate facilitated session. The books have arrived and Matthew has coordinated the distribution. This first session will focus on Parts 1 and 2 only. Beverly and Shannon planned this book discussion based on their review of the Jamboard feedback that followed our kick off meeting with them. Discussions focused on the last half of the book will be held in October. Dates to be determined.
