Week 37: Thanksgiving week announcements

First, let me wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving. Though we may not be celebrating this holiday as we have in the past, there is still much to be thankful for. As for Countway, our construction is moving along and plans to be completed shortly. During our time back on site we have thankfully had no confirmed cases of COVID-19 amongst library and construction staff. You have been working so hard during the most challenging of times; making progress on the BML inventory and focusing on accomplishing our research, education, patient care, and service missions. Thank you.

Some important announcements for this week include:

  1. There is an all-staff meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, November 25. You will hear more about our opening plans. Carl Cowan from HMS campus services as well as Salina Wall from HMS HR are also on the agenda. I hope you can attend; via Zoom of course.
  2. Wednesday, November 26 is a remote workday. We have notified facilities and construction that there will be no staff in the building. If you do not wish to work that day, there are many PTO options available to you.
  3. If you are traveling out of Massachusetts, please follow the Harvard University and Massachusetts travel guidelines. In order to return to work after traveling out of the Commonwealth, please note that you need 2 negative COVID tests or you must quarantine for 14 days before coming back on site.
