January 2022: Countway Open to Harvard Longwood Campus Students Only

In response to a rapid increase in breakthrough infections due to the omicron variant that is currently spreading in our region, the University has announced that classroom courses will be conducted remotely across all schools for the first three weeks in January. Pursuant to these new regulations, the following changes will take place at Countway Library during the first three weeks in January: 

Building Hours

  • Sunday: CLOSED
  • Monday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
  • Tuesday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
  • Thursday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
  • Saturday: CLOSED

Visiting Countway

  • The library is only available for Harvard Longwood Campus student study space. 
  • Please enter only via the entrance at 695 Huntington Avenue.
  • Masks and 6-foot social distancing are required AT ALL TIMES within the library. 
  • Public restrooms are not available at this time.
  • Food and drink are prohibited in the library except at designated café area tables.
  • Our print collections will not be accessible for in-person browsing until February 2022.
  • Book pickup is available via our grab & go cart or our new book lockers.
  • Center for the History of Medicine hours: 10am-4pm Tuesday-Thursday, by appointment only.
  • Cleaning kits are available at each seat; please consider cleaning areas before/after use.
