Week 46: A Successful Start to 2021 for Countway

On Tuesday, Luciana and I presented to the HMS Business Continuity Task Force (BCTDF) an update on Countway's reopening. We discussed specifics as well as lessons learned and feedback from the students. We also showed pictures of the renovation to illustrate the variety of study spaces available for reservation. The group particularly recognized and commented on how much of a positive impact the library is making on the student experience at HMS during these unprecedented times. We received enthusiastic and uplifting remarks from the group about the newly renovated spaces and the effort it took to reopen the library. The journey was certainly worth the destination. Kudos to the reopening team (Luciana, MJ, Meredith and Yasmina) and all of you for your dedication to our Longwood area community. Next steps involve working with the Graduate school Deans on granting Masters and PhD students (those already cleared to be on campus) approval to enter and use the library to study. Please visit the Dropbox folder to view the presentation slides.

I look forward to seeing you all at the next Virtual Town Hall Meetings (focused on reopening) on the following dates:

  • Today, Thursday, January 28th 12-12:45 pm
  • Wednesday, February 17th 1-2 pm
  • Thursday, February 25th 2-3 pm

Zoom links will be sent soon.
