Construction Updates

Here are the ongoing activities for the next week:

  • Flooring ongoing until next Tuesday 06-20
  • Ceiling tile install started this week and will be ongoing until the end of next week
  • Casework & Millwork install are ongoing until 06-29
  • Furniture delivery was postponed to 06-20 and the install will be ongoing for 1 week
  • Fire Alarm programming and Texting is scheduled for 06-15 at 6PM (off-hours inspection by BFD)
  • Certificates of Occupancy application next week for issuance on 06-30

RDMLA Transitions

Perry has transitioned from being a LHT to a half time RDMLA Librarian (RDMLA is funded through a gift through Elsevier). Perry has been a Safety Ambassador at Countway for almost 2 years! She recently completed the Simmons MLIS program following the Design Your Own Track. Prior to library school, Perry worked as a community health nurse. She is interested in public, academic, and medical libraries. While at Simmons, Perry worked alongside the Instructional Design team to build online courses for SLIS as the Teaching and Learning Technology Specialist. She will begin her new position on June 26th. We look forward to seeing Perry in her new position.

With Perry taking over the coordination of the RDMLA, Ashley will be transitioning to a new role here at Countway. Beginning July 5th, Ashley will serve as the Health Science Data and Digital Services Librarian, where she will provide data management and related digital services support to HMS and HSPH faculty, researchers, and students.
