We invite you to join us for a series of events that center survivors, foster connection, and strengthen our shared commitment to safety, respect, and community.

25 Years Stronger: Looking Back, Moving Forward

April 2026 marks the official 25th anniversary of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This year’s SAAM theme, “25 Years Stronger: Looking Back, Moving Forward,” celebrates the resilience of survivors and the communities that have worked for change.

Here at Longwood, there are a number of ways to participate during April’s SAAM programming. All the following events are free and open to all Harvard community members; no prior registration required.

TMEC Atrium Resource Tabling with HMS Title IX Resource Coordinators

Thursday, April 9, 12:30–2 pm, TMEC Atrium

Stop by the SAAM resource table during the lunch hour to grab a snack, spin the wheel to win self-care swag, and learn about important sexual misconduct resources and support.

Survivor Love Letters with SHARE

Tuesday, April 14, 12–2 pm, Kresge Atrium

The SHARE Team invites everyone to stop by and create a small piece of art as a tool for collective storytelling, healing, and solidarity for survivors. Come write, draw, or just be present. You can also pick up materials to make a letter later.

SAAM Book Display

All Month, Countway Library Info Desk

Longwood TIXRCs and Countway Librarians are collaborating to curate a selection of books that brings together diverse perspectives on the topic of sexual violence. Titles on display range from memoirs to novels, poetry, research studies, journals, and even graphic novels. Stop by the Information Desk on L1 to take a look or check out the SAAM book list on HOLLIS.

Together, we can continue to shift culture, strengthen prevention, and create a world free from sexual violence.
