The Center for the History of Medicine, Countway Library, and the Office for Diversity Inclusion and Community Partnership invite you to visit our new exhibit, Perspectives of Change: The story of civil rights, diversity, inclusion, and access to education at Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
The exhibit:
- explores the history of diversity, inclusion, and belonging for students of color and other underrepresented groups attending Harvard's medical and dental schools
- highlights stories of trailblazing students, faculty, trainees, and health leaders from the 19th century through today
- features oral histories and crowd-sourced collections of stories, images, and videos
- incorporates local and national issues of inequity, injustice, and health disparities
- captures historic and ongoing efforts to advance diversity and inclusion at Harvard Medical School, the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and their affiliates
